Here is a clip from my recital in 2007. Andrew Lippa is one of my favorite broadway composers. You can hear his work in The Wild Party, You're A Goodman Charlie Brown, and Addams Family. He has a away of combining jazz, pop, and classic musical theater style and making it very singable. His songs are challenging, yet somehow perfectly placed in the singer's voice.
My sister thinks I should post a friendly song up for parents, but since I'm awful at playing uptempo's and singing at the same time, I am posting another ballad. Need a wedding singer? ;-) You will not believe how long it has taken me to get to this point in creating my very first website! Picking a keyboard for the background alone took me days. As modest and barebones that it is, I am very proud. Some of my closest friends know that I recently quit my 8-5 job in sales and decided to go back to what I love -music. I've been blessed with a career in performing and am being patient in the next steps, which I believe are teaching and encouraging others in their musical talent. With the help of my friends and network, I have been busy with music directing in the educational field. I recently accompanied and music conducted Mount Rainier High School's production of 9 to 5 and will be music directing for KIDStage at Village Theatre this summer. Things are slowly coming around. A friend of a friend even set up my domain for me! Thanks, David Shim! Attached are a few unplugged videos since I know many of you have never seen/heard me perform. Thanks for stopping by!
